LLC loans: how do they work?

LLC loans work like standard business loans: your LLC is the borrower, the debt sits on the business, and lenders qualify you on the LLC's revenue, time in business, and, in most cases, your personal credit as the owner. There's no special "LLC loan" product; an LLC can access the full menu, from term loans to SBA financing. The common misconception worth clearing early: forming an LLC does not, by itself, separate your personal credit from business borrowing. Most lenders still require a personal guarantee. Quordx Capital matches LLCs to the lenders most likely to approve their specific profile, from a network of 50+.

How Lenders Underwrite an LLC

When your LLC applies, lenders evaluate two intertwined profiles:

The business: Monthly revenue (alternative lenders typically want ~$10K+), time in business (3-6 months minimum for revenue-based products; 2+ years strengthens bank and SBA applications), bank statement health, and industry.

You: Most small-business lenders check the owner's personal credit and require a personal guarantee, a promise that you'll repay if the LLC can't. SBA lenders generally look for scores of 650+; some revenue-based lenders approve from around 500-550. The LLC's liability shield protects you from many business risks, but a signed guarantee is a contractual exception to it.

Paperwork is standard: your LLC's articles of organization and operating agreement, EIN, 3-6 months of business bank statements, the most recent business tax return, your ID, and a voided business check. Keeping LLC finances in a dedicated business account isn't just good hygiene: it's what lenders underwrite from.

What Your LLC Can Qualify For

Business term loan ($10K-$500K+): Best for defined investments with fixed payments over 1-5 years.

Business line of credit ($10K-$250K+): Best for cash-flow management; interest only on what you draw.

SBA 7(a) (up to $5M): Best low-cost growth capital for established LLCs: current variable rates run roughly 10.5%-14%.

Equipment financing ($5K-$5M+): Best for vehicles and machinery; the asset is the collateral, which eases approval for younger LLCs.

How Quordx Capital Works

Your LLC applies once, about 5 minutes, and uploads its documents to a secure, SOC 2 compliant platform. Quordx Capital's matching process weighs the business and owner profile together, then surfaces 3-7 lenders from the 50+ lender network ranked by approval probability. Lender decisions typically return in 24-48 hours, and funded deals usually wire in 3-7 business days.

What to Expect

Expect your personal credit to matter even though the LLC is the borrower: that's the norm, not a red flag. Expect transparency on every term, including exactly what any personal guarantee covers. And expect zero cost for the matching itself: no fees, no obligation, and no penalty for simply finding out where your LLC stands.
