What do lenders look for in bank statements?
Lenders read your business bank statements for four things: consistent monthly deposits, healthy average daily balances, an absence of overdrafts and NSF incidents, and how much existing debt is already pulling money out of the account. Those 3-6 months of statements are the closest thing to an X-ray of your business, and many fast-funding decisions ride almost entirely on them. Knowing what underwriters flag lets you time your application, and fix avoidable problems, before anyone looks. Quordx Capital matches your statement profile to lenders whose standards it already meets.

Reading your statements like an underwriter
Deposit volume and consistency: Lenders total monthly deposits to verify revenue (typical alternative-lender minimum: about $10K+ per month) and prefer steady months over one spike surrounded by valleys. Average daily balance. A business that holds cash between deposits looks safer than one that runs to zero; thin balances suggest a new payment won't fit. Overdrafts and NSFs. Negative balance days and bounced payments are among the heaviest red flags: multiple recent incidents can sink an otherwise solid file. Existing obligations. Underwriters spot daily or weekly debits from other lenders and advances; heavy existing pulls shrink what you can borrow. Deposit character. Genuine customer revenue reads differently than transfers from personal accounts or loan proceeds masquerading as sales.
Practical prep: keep balances padded in the months before applying, resolve overdraft patterns, and run all business revenue through one business account so your real volume is visible.
Funding that statement strength unlocks
Working capital loans: $5K-$500K, often approved primarily on statement quality. Best for fast access when your deposits are solid.
Business lines of credit: $10K-$250K+; cleaner statements support higher limits. Best for flexible, ongoing needs.
Business term loans: $10K-$500K+; statements plus tax returns drive amount and pricing. Best for planned investments.

How Quordx Capital Works
Upload 3-6 months of bank statements with a 10-minute application, and our platform evaluates your file the way underwriters will: then routes it to the 3-7 lenders among our 50+ network most likely to approve what they see, ranked by probability. Decisions usually return in 24-48 hours; funding follows in roughly 3-7 business days.
What to Expect
Expect your statements to be matched against lender standards before submission, not after, so you're not discovering deal-killers from a rejection letter. If your last few months show overdrafts or sagging deposits, we'll be candid about whether to apply now or strengthen the file first. There's no fee for any of it, no impact for asking, and no obligation to proceed.
